Seriously though. If you have no/weak theory of mind, among other things you're incapable of understanding that people view the world differently than you do. What you know is what everybody else knows, i.e. is the universal truth, and anybody who acts inconsistently with that truth isn't doing it because they genuinely see the world differently, but rather because they're lying for personal gain. That makes them seem, well, unreasonable at the very least.

That's why anybody protesting Trump isn't really against Trump, they've just been paid to do it. Probably by that George Soros guy.

It's a pretty severe cognitive deficit. Normally people develop theory of mind in early childhood. Even dogs have it.

I agree, I wasn't actually claiming it was a smokescreen, just that I wouldn't be surprised if it had turned out to be. And I guess indirectly implying that it was taking all the spotlight, as it seemed to be all over social media but no news sources had picked it up at the time. I think even now it's somewhat under reported but I haven't checked today.

My favorite line of reasoning is: "none of the bombs went off, clearly they weren't really intended to hurt people, this is clearly a fake". The implication of half of everything right wingers say is that they're actually hardcore badasses and in no way would they ever **** up making a bomb. So much of what they say is "I could beat you up" in political form. It's probably where the post apocalyptic military fantasies come from.

You don’t know that reports suggest the murder was unrelated to the white supremacists, because reports make it very clear that the murderer was one of the white supremacists.
